MEN IN BLACK III GETS MORE NEWS

There is new news on the Men In Black III front. There has been rumors for awhile now. The big hurdle has been Tommy Lee Jones and the fact that he is getting really old. The LA Times reports that Josh Brolin is being tapped to be his replacement.

This is all rumor now but, the role for Brolin would have him taking over for Agent K as he goes into retirement. There is also a scenario that has Agent K taking over Rip Torn's role as the head of MIB and Brolin riding with Will Smith. This is all just hear say, hell he could just play a younger Agent K, a villain or just a voice over for for a CGI alien. The only rock solid part of this movie is that Will Smith is back and that is all that really matters.

So I'm looking forward to this unlike a lot of people I liked the second one.

RUSSEL SIMMONS TO GET A REALITY SHOW

Russel Simmons is a fascinating man, coming from nothing and building up the Def Jam company. He was an innovator by signing the Beastie Boys as the first hip hop act also building up Phat Pharm to wear it is now grossing millions of dollars on a yearly basis. You could say he is one of the smartest business men around, now he's getting a reality show on the Oxygen network. Don't get it twisted this show is more about the women around Russ to please the all female network fans

THR reports "Russell Simmons is a fascinating man and seeing his world through the eyes of his dream team comprised of strong, passionate women provides a unique experience for our viewers," said Amy Introcaso-Davis, senior vp, programming for Oxygen. "We're excited to team up with Russell on this project and shine the spotlight on his core group that are living the dream alongside him."

This could be good might watch that one so be on the look out for that.

MAYWETHER VS. PAC MAN GETS A DATE

I just heard this from Fox Sports that the mega fight is on. Floyd "Money" Maywether will fight Manny "Pac Man" Pacquio on March 13th. The deal was already signed by Maywether and we were jsut waiting on Pacquio to sign. I took Manny a little longer to sign because he is running for office in the Phillipines.

The promoter Bob Arum went to the Phillipines to make the deal final. There are some little points that still need to be made, but it's looking like this will be the higest grossing fight of all time.

The venue of the fight is still up in the air the new Dallas Cowboys stadium has been thrown out there as well as the MGM Grand in Las Vegas were both of these fighters have had their biggest fights. There is anothere seeky option which is a 30,000 seat areana built on the Las Vegas strip right across from the Wynn Hotel. Now if that goes down I think it would be the coolest thing ever. It would be crazy in Vegas that weekend.

In my opion if there was ever one fight that I really wanted to see live this would be it, but I'm not wealthy and these tickets will be a pretty penny. I will be sitting on a couch to watch this fight it should be a great one really excited.

Via Ain't It Cool News I got my hands on the Iron Man 2 poster that will be out soon. Also there is a rumor that the teaser trailer will be out in December sometime. The poster has the typical Iron Man costume, but they also added War Machine on it back to back with the iron badass check it out tell me what you think

CARDS LOSE

Well it was a good game, unless you are a Cardinals fan. Wow what a finish and really the D took a real shit 99 yards hmmm. Well now you've got the amazing old man Brett Favre coming to town in prime time Sunday. Hey I'm not a fan, but I felt bad, they may have won me money so there is a bright spot. If it doesn't hurt already here is the final play a gain soak it in.

ICE CUBE IS A COP

Well that "hard core" rapper Ice Cube, who came out like a beast in his first feature film Friday, has had some struggles and went to cash some pay checks with family films like Are We There Yet and the so called action film XXX: State of the Union. According to THR He will be a cop now in a new movie called Ride Along .

In this movie Cube will be a cop that is trying to break up the engagement of his sister to a white psychiatrist by taking him on a ride along. Yeah this movie is sure to move along race relations in the country. Well this movie has a good concept and could be intriguing especially if he can get back to those Friday days. The movie was originally written by George Collidge, but has since then been rewritten by Upright Citizens Brigade alum Jason Mantzoukas it should have it's moments and get Cube back to looking like a bad ass I guess.

Sorry I haven't posted in a long time, but I've been busy with the old High School football that takes up a little more time than I thought. This is the first little tidbit and I will start to get back at this more because I've got a whole lot more free time.

MARLON WAYANS IS RICHARD PRYOR

According to Joblo.com and Slashfilm.com there is a star for the Richard Pryor bio film. The winner is... Marlon Wayans, yeah that's right Mr. Wayans is in negotiations to star as arguably the best stand up comic to ever live. Originally Eddie Murphy was supposed to star and in my little opinion it would've been the best choice. If you ever read or watched any interview that Murphy has done you know he credits Pryor for his act when he was younger. The reason Murphy is not starring in this is because he and Paramount Pictures couldn't come t terms on the contract.

Wayans is now in talks with Adam Sandler's production company to play this iconic role. It is reported that Wayans has been lobbying for months to get this role. The clincher was a thirteen minute screen test where he "transformed" into Pryor just wowing the producers of the flick. The movie is going to be based on the comics very public and turbulent life as a comic. Also the movie will dive deep into Pryor's drug abuse and his wonderful stage act.

Before you all go running for the keyboards in protest of Marlon Wayans being pic the man has the acting chops to pull this off. His performance in Requiem for a Dream was outstanding and I think his best ever, I really think he can pull this off. He has the right body frame and with his rich knowledge of comedic history and hopes of millions of people to do this right. I think Wayans will knock it out of the park he has to I mean you can't let an entire generation of people down who grew up with this man as their voice or any of us who want to see his story come to life and I don't think anyone he knows will let him forget that.

PARANORMAL DIRECTOR STARTS NEW PROJECT

Ok if you were priveladged enough to see the movie Paranormal Activity then kuddos to you. I don't really like scary movies, but from the looks of the trailer (that I've posted earlier) it looks damn good and from the rumors I've read around the net I guess you actually get to see what is actually haunting those people. I digress the writter/director Oren Peli had come up with his next project it;s called Area 51.

I guess the plot points are pretty hush, hush apparently it will center around three teenagers that stumble upon the base out in the deep desert base in Nevada. Peli is known for using unknown actors and I dosen't seem like that is going to change. He is said to be making it in that archival footage style film making. Paranormal only had an $11,000 budget I'm guess his next one will have a much bigger budget, but I'm worried because the last sci-fi movie shot like was Cloverfield. I'm sorry, but that made me want to vomit from the bouncy camera and kill any annoying frat boy that comes along. I'm sure Peli will do a better job... hopefully you can check out more of the story at Comingsoon.net.

Also more good new Paranormal Activity is looking to get nationwide release by Paramount so look for it in a theater near you. Hey if your around me, we will go see it together and my big ass can jump into your lap.

GIRL OF THE WEEK

I'm going to start a new weekly posting Girl of the Week and not according to websites or hit on Google, but from my own taste. If you want to chime in leave a comment or even email me and I will put on of the ones you think are super hot up here.

First girl is Mila Kunis, I've had a thing for this girl since she was the stuck up Jackie on That 70's Show. She is in the new Denzel Washington movie The Book of Eli check out the trailer in on of the earlier post and pics of her here.

MGM GOING BROKE

In a report done by Nikki Finke over at Deadline Hollywood there could be trouble brewing over at MGM. Apparently they have come up short on the figures from last year and are seeking more money from it shareholders in a meeting that took place at the end of last week.

MGM made a desperate plea for money because the studio had missed its numbers and was going to be out of funds very soon. "The implication was that it's teetering on bankruptcy," one source told me. MGM said it needed $20M in short-term cash flow to cover overhead, and an additional $150 million to get through the end of year and continue funding its projects, and to start Peter Jackson's Hobbit.

...if MGM were forced into bankruptcy, then it would lose James Bond and the studio doesn't think it can stay alive without 007.

Also, if MGM goes through bankruptcy, that's a very expensive prospect (where only the lawyers get rich), and extremely disruptive (since who would do business with MGM in the interim) and won’t get the creditors what they want which is their money back. It's more than simply MGM losing Bond. The studio could lose a lot of other franchises.

I'm thinking if MGM goes under Jackson's The Hobbit and 007 will be fine and be snatched up by another studio quickly, but some of the other franchises wouldn't be so lucky. Then again those two were the only ones that will make any money now as it is.

TABLET PC COMING

Well there has been a rumor floating around the net that Apple has a tablet pc on the horizon. For those of you who are not familiar with that is going to be a laptop you can lay down flat and write on like a notebook pretty kick ass. Well don't fear because Microsoft has already got one, check out the video below.

Here's the deal it has two 7-inch touch screens. It is designed for scrolling, flicking (like an iPod touch) and writing on it with our finger or a stylus. On the bottom of the screen it will display you wireless signal and battery life, like and iPhone it will have that little home button that will take you back to the beginning of wherever you started. It's in the "late prototype" stage right now, but I will be the first in line when they put this beast on the market.

In this new trailer Denzel kicks some ass. I haven't seen this Denzel Washingto in a good long while and Mila Kunis dosen't look half bad either so check it out I think it's pretty kick ass.

HANCOCK 2 COING DOWN THE PIPE

According to Cinemablend.com there are confirmed rumors of Hancock 2 will be made. Director Peter Berg is now starting to write the new script now and it has been confirmed that Will Smith will be back as well as Charlize Theron, but the great Jason Bateman is still up in the air. The script may involve another god like opponent in the mold of Hancock will be in this one according to Berg.

Well, I wasn't really thrilled with the first one and it left me wanting more. The original premise of super hero with problems who doesn't give a shit it was great. Then it got all sappy with some love story gone wrong yeah I could've lived without that, but I will go see this one.

MAYWETHER IS BACK

Well Floyd "Money" Maywether is back this weekend for a so called "tune up" fight with Juan Manuel Marquez. This will be a really good fight because Marquez is a tough fighter who arguably beat Manny "Pacman" Pacquio (I can't spell it and I'm being lazy) twice so this man is no slouch. If you have been watching 24/7 you Marquez drinks his own pee and we all know that is crazy. But, Marquez is in shape he is moving up in weight to fight Maywether which could be his downfall in this one, making him too slow. Maywether coming off of two years of not fighting looks good and he works harder than anybody out there so he will be in shape for this fight, but will he be focused on Marquez or Manny down the road.

My prediction for this fight is this, if anybody will get Maywether right now it's Marquez he is an awesome offensive fighter and is always coming forward. He has strong hands, but is moving up by about ten pounds to take this fight with the naturally larger man in Maywether. Taking that into account Maywether is undefeated for a reason and is fighting for respect not just to get the pound for pound title back, but for boxing. On the same night we have a UFC fight going on as well which will be interesting to see who draws more of an audience. Back to my original point Maywether will win by decision in 12 and set up a mega fight at the beginning of 2010 with Manny. Have fun people, I will and if you know me you will know where I will be at with a drink in one and and a chicks booty cheek in the other ha.

RAMPAGE IS ON THE A-TEAM

According to Moviehole.com Quinten "Rampage" Jackson is going to be B.A. Barackus in the A-Team movie that starts shooting tomorrow in Toronto. The premise of the movie is going to follow the TV show where instead of the Vietnam war they will be set in the Middle-East. The crew will still be wrongly imprisoned for war crimes, breakout and fight for the little guy.

Since they confirmed B.A. so they need to finish the rest of the cast. Playing Hannibal is Liam Neeson, Face is going to be the handsome Bradley Cooper and Murdock hasn't been cast yet but the front runner is the District 9 breakout star Sharlto Copley. I'm looking forward to this movie it should be kick ass.

KANYE MAY HAVE SOME ISSUES

I finally got a chance to see what Kanye West did at the VMA's tonight. Now I don't condone some of the things that man does and I am not a Kanye West apologist, but I can see where he is coming from. Now he didn't have a problem with Taylor Swift he just has a problem with the process and what is judged as award winning artistry. Now I don't know what video that Beyonce was nominated for and I don't know what video Taylor Swift was nominated for I'm sure they were both good. Here is the problem the people that vote for these things are corporate yuppies that have to cater to their core audience which is hate to say the 15-25 year old white women who watch all the reality shows and used to watch TRL. That is the reason she won not on her ability to make a breakthrough in video music making they have to sell the ad time and get those girls to watch more TV. This is the main reason I don't watch the Movie Awards anymore I mean when Twilight wins movie of the year over The Dark Night then you know all that goes on at MTV is bullshit. This is just my opinion and I can see where Kanye is coming from just his timing to voice his opinion was not the best in the world it took away from Taylor Swift's moment. Don't get me wrong Taylor Swift is an amazing talent and is legit, she writes and composes her own stuff, she has got talent unlike a lot of the put together teen pop stars. NEW TV'S GOTTA LOVE IT

As some of you may know I recently purchased a new TV in the past month (and now it is past it's time). Well here is something shinny and new for those of you looking to be all kinds of gaudy. I got this from Gizmodo.com JVC is putting out the first 3D capable TV out there. Now most Hollywood execs and higher ups already have this stuff because of all the 3D movies and content coming out in the near future, but for us littel people it's finaly being released.

The resolution is only 2,000:1 static ratio so don't dump that LED just yet. JVC said that the set will offer a flicker-free 3D image, but it also requires those dorky glasses that you need to wear. I mean it might be cool to have 3D in my place, but at $9,153 who needs it I can wait, but if you gotta have it talk to you local home theater installer and they can hook it up.

If you haven't heard or if your a female and read the rag mags I'm going to try and fill you in. Over the weekend San Diego Chargers All Pro Linebacker Shawne Merriman was arrested on alleged charges of battery and false imprisonment by his girlfriend wait for it... Tila Tequila Ha!

Not to make light of stuff like this, but according to Profootballtalk.com on Sunday apperantly Merriman had a party at his house and Miss Tequila was a little bit intoxicated and wanted to drive home. He didn't want her to drive drunk and keep her there she called the cops and she signed a citizens arrest warant hmmm. Merriman's lawyer jumped out in front of this story over the weekend explaning that his client is innocent of all charges against him and that the matter will be resloved quickly.

Not so fast Tila Tequlia also know as Tila Nguyen was initaly not going to release a statement about the charges being filed "Due to the serious nature of this matter, and out of respect for all domestic violence victims and defendants, Ms. Nguyen and her representatives will not be publicly addressing the facts and circumstances of the incident," New York-based attorney Scott E. Leemon saud today.

Well according to Tila's twitter account "I haven't release an official statement on what happened yet because I didn't lie, so no need to release 3 statements to 'cover' myself," which is a direct shot at the Merriman spin on the situation.

She goes on to say "Just wait til the whole story comes out," she said. "I am letting them talk and bash me all they want. I dont care. I know the truth. [A]nd it will come. "Nguyen also hints that she was restrained because of something she had seen: "There is only one reason why I was running for my life.....why was I stopped? Hmmm....maybe the truth didnt want to leave the house."

Tila is calling Tuesday "Judement Day" in that she will give a press confrence and she will give her side of the story. What this all means is up in the air to me I'm just bringing the story, but Merriman is a known steriod user being busted in 2006. Maybe she's got some dirt on the man or she is just building it up to keep that so called career going you never know find out tomorrow it will be every where.

SET FOOTAGE FOR CLASH OF THE TITANS

The remake of the 1987 classic Clash of the Titans has been under way for a while now. I really haven't seen much on the blogosphere lately, but MTV News has gotten some behind the scene footage of shit being blown up.

The big draw for this remake for me would be the replacing of all that ugly stop motion animation for those old mythical monsters. So more CGI and slick explosion will most definitely make for a much different movie than the old version.

For those of you who haven't seen the old one the main story is Sam Worthington's character Perseus the son of Zeus must lead a group of men on a dangerous mission. This mission is to stop Hades before he unleashes hell on earth. Yeah the plot is elementary but who cares I just want to see the CGI versions of the monsters. KICK-ASS GETS A DATE ALONG WITH THE EXPENDABLES

The big time show stopper at Comic Con got a distibutor about a month ago and now they get a release date. Lionsgate just annouced the date it's going to be released, according to Comingsoon.net the date this awsome movie is set to be released is April 16 2010, so Matthew Vaughn's nice little masterpiece will been seen right before the big summer push next year. Lionsgate also announced another release for the end of summer it's the new Sly Stallone, Jet Li, Jason Statham and Mickey Rouke action flick The Expendables is set to be let loose on August 20th of 2010 so enjoy.

MARVEL GETS OWNED

Well you proably already know buy know and it's not new but I haven't had the net in few days. Thoes film makers at Marvel were bought on Monday by Disney for a small $4 billion dollars. Wow that is a ton of money and who says we are in a recession had not me. For all of you who are worried that in the next Marvel movie that Mickey is going to pop up or that Wolverien will get even more emo and end up at Disney World riding the tea cups don't worry.

Most of the big name superheros are already owned by diffrent studios like the heavy hitters like Spiderman and Iorn Man are owned by Sony and Paramount respectivly. What it does mean is that we may see a bunch of crappy superheros come down the pipe. So get ready to love She Hulk and Captin Marvel yeah fun.

THE MEN WHO STARE AT GOATS

Here is an interesting movie that I ran across on Slashfilm.com. It is a movie that stars Ewan McGregor and it's about spies, but in a strange way. It has been adapted from the book Jon Ronson's book titled The Men Who Stare At Goats about a group of Military Specialist that are trained in ancient Chinese mind techniques that build "unparalleled psychic powers to read enemy's thoughts, pass through solid walls and even kill goat simply by staring at it."

It looks pretty cool and with the cast involved including George Clooney, Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges it's gotta be good. It's more of a dark comedy along the lines of Burn After Reading and with Jeff Bridges returning to comedy again it's going to be silly and you will get some laughs if you can find it. The movie will open at the Toronto International Film festival and will be in limited release November 6th. Another interesting tid bit this movie was on the black list for 2006. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's a list of the best unproduced screenplays for the year so it's pretty well written.

SONY HAS A NEW WALKMAN

Recently Sony has released a new walkman. I know what your saying "A fucking walkman is it 1987?" no it pretty damn sweet. It is called the S Series and it will retail at $110 for the 8GB and $130 for a 16GB. This extremely stylish little device is MP3 formatted and comes with high quality speakers so you can share you love of shitty music to the world.

Even with the high quality speakers this device is extremely thin coming in at 0.5" thick. It also comes with a 2.4" QVGA LCD screen that is extremely responsive and lacks the lag of some other portable video players.

If your worried about taking it on the road don't be the music player comes with a continuous audio playback of up to 42 hours and 6.5 hours of video playback. These numbers sadly are only if you want to have a solo experience if you want all around to hear and see what you prefer it has only 17 hours of continuous audio playback and only 5 hours of video playback on the external speakers. That is over half of your playback time and is a little shitty but these are to be personal devices so keep it to yourself. This excellent device also comes in a variety of colors, black, red, violet and pink to suit everybody.

THE WIZARD OF OZ WILL BE REVISITED

Guess what they are doing redoing one of the classics. Well not really a reboot Warner Bros. was reported as saying that Dakota Fanning is tabbed to star in the "remake", sequel if you will of the Wizard of OZ.

This is really an idea that has been kicked around for years I guess. Todd McFarlane has been trying to make this version since 1997. Like most remakes they are trying to make it "darker" and "more action packed" version. What I don't understand is that the original author of the OZ world L Frank Baum has already written multiple sequels that head back to the wonderful world of OZ. They even made a movie of one the little seen Return to OZ (I saw it).

The Daily Express is the source of this story and for what it's worth they are a British tabloid. With the reputations of some of those bad boys you can take this with a grain of salt. According to the Express rumor has it Fanning will be the granddaughter of Dorthy.

This is a new Laurence Fishburn and Matt Dillion vehicle looks interesting, but it's pretty much more of the same down on your luck folks trying to steal from the man. Then something goes wrong and one lost soul decides to make the right choice all of a sudden instead of going with the flow and just taking the money is disappearing.

PHILLIP RIVERS IS AN EVEN RICHER MAN

According and confirmed by FOXSPORTS.COM's Alex Marvez Phillip Rivers just signed a huge six year contract extension with the San Diego Chargers today. The deal is worth a total of $92 million dollars with $38.5 mil guaranteed. Rivers will make a little over the $50 mil over the first three years of the deal QB in the league.

He is coming off of one of his best years of his career and one of the best of any Charger quarterbacks ever. Even though he has not won a super bowl yet even if he has maybe the most talented roster in football over the past few years. This is a great move for San Diego and all of those fans in the city of "Whales Vagina" as the great Ron Burgandy would say. Is he worth it who know but I can't hate the man if someone threw that much cash down in front of me I would sign on the dotted line and laugh all the way to the back with my new found Scrooge McDuck money. So recap River's inks a new $92 million dollar contract and how was your Monday not that good I'm guessing

Christpoher Nolan's latest movie has wrapped and no it's not Batman 3 like we all want it's Inception. It's a sci-fi thriller that people know little about, in the trailer all you are going to get is some weird music, people fighting in a hallway that seems to be detached from gravity and a lot of Leo DiCaprio so enjoy. If you want to see it in the theaters it is playing in front of Inglorious Bastards, which I heard is a good one.

HE'S BACK

Silly Captain Jack is back and the movies is rolling along. Pirates 4 is coming down the pipe Johnny Depp is signed on to reprise his roll as Captain Jack. Some of the plot is that he is now in a race to find the fountain of youth, but the big news is a bout the villain in the movie. It's not Barbosa, but it just might be another nautical legend in Captin Nemo which would be pretty cool.

Jerry Bruckhimer is thinking of taking this into a more sci-fi feel now with the villains using better equipment than our pirate friends. So look out for this coming down the pipe and starting produciton soon.

WOLFMAN TRAILER

Also on deck today is this WolfMan trailer staring Benicio Del Toro and Anthony Hopkins. It's the classic wolfman story just using cool computer graphics and great makeup. You can check out a better version at Yahoo! movies, but just to build up the hits to my page just check it out here.

BURRESS GOING TO JAIL

This is a story of stupidity, Plaxico Burress heading to jail for two years because he was a dumb for wearing sweat pants in a Spanish Harlem night club and shooting himself in the leg. In the state of New York they have very harsh gun laws in which if you have a non registered gun in that state you will serve a mandatory three years in jail.

His lawyer fucked up and decided he wanted to fight it, but the evidence was way too strong, I mean they found the gun and he shot himself. He plead down to serving two years or twenty months in jail and that means his football careere is pretty much over. He is 31 and when he gets out he will be 34 and that is death foe a wide reciver so good bye and well that sucks you lost a job that I would've took in a heartbeat. You get paid a kings ransomm to play a kids game, hmmm easy how you can fuck things up ah well

AVATAR TRAILER

For those of you like me who did not get to see the 25 minutes of footage at Comic Con. Here is the trailer for Avatar it looks amazing. It is going to mix of CGI and live action, on Friday if you were special enough to get a ticket the full length 16 minute trailer will be played in front and after Harry Potter this weekend. This is low res footage go to Apple.com and check out the hi res. You won't get much out of the plot here but it looks beautiful and how the hell did Michelle Rodriguez get into this movie.

AVATAR DAY IS COMING

The big day is tomorrow for James Cameron to reveal his 16 minute long trailer for AVATAR. Until then here are some production stills that are starting to enter the blogosphere. NEW TWILIGHT TRAILER MEET JACOB

All I have to say is that Twilight is huge and I need more readers of this blog and that's it. If you know me I hate this, but give them (and I mean women) what they want. Ladies lots of dudes with their shirts off, which I'm still wondering why the all have their shirts off together in the first place anyway, enjoy.

EXPENDABLES FOOTAGE

Just saw some official footage of the new Sly Stallone film The Expendables. It's a tribute to the old action films of the 80's and early 90's. The movies stars Sly, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Randy Couture and just added today was Bruce Willis. This is the ultimate team up of old action stars I'm kind of excited to see it. All they are missing is Arnold and if he wasn't running California into the ground he would be in it.

The footage is mostly behind-the-scenes footage getting ready for UFC 102 later in the month check it out.

KODAK HAS IT'S OWN FLIP

For people who know me and those who read this god awful blog one I'm sorry, but two you know I'm always around with my camera of Flip you may have see it pointed at you trying to get you in an embarrassing moment. Now Kodak has something similar but a little better. It's called a Zi8 it looks just like a Flip, but has 1080p resolution (HD) built in and instead of a switch blade type thing that pops out and takes up a port on you laptop it has a cord that plugs into the back. That is a great thing for me anyway it ranges in the $180 range which for something this cool is a great price. The downer is that it has no internal memory and it doesn't come with a memory card shit, but I may have found my new obsession.

SMURFS ARE COMING TO THE BIG SCREEN

The loveable little blue people who some how reproduce with just one female are coming to the big screen. That's right the Smurfs are getting a live action movie and if you think it's going to be set in a fantastical villiage set to do battle with an evil wizard. Think again they are taking them out of there enviornment and moving them into the human world.

Sony has the rights and is making the movie and they sent out a casting notice that backstage has grabbed and posted:

Seeking—Sophie: ages 8-10, a girl of great imagination and originality, though always appealing, she is often socially awkward and doesn't fit in with the other kids, she's smart and open, though she can be physically clumsy, when she discovers that the "doll" her father brought home from Belgium is actually a living, breathing Smurf, she takes "Clumsy" in as a member of the family and tries to get the household to embrace him and the rest of the Smurfs; Sam: 13-16 (to play 14-15), Sophie's brother, a good kid, but he's going through that phase where he can be difficult and withdrawn and retreat to his room to play video games, through his involvement in the Smurfs' quest to get home, he reconnects with his parents and sister.

KICK-ASS GETS A LION

Ok there is still some fall out from Comic Con '09 the show stopper Kick Ass that was made independantly by Matthew Vaughn adapted from the graphic Novel of the same name created by Mark Millar and John Romita, Jr. They hit the big time and just got distrubution by Lionsgate films and will be relased in 2010 according to Aint It Cool News.

This movie is about a kid who is really into comic books and like all of us who read them and wanted to be a superhero he actually does it. He get's a coustume, a new name Kick-Ass and fights crime nightly. The one bad thing is, he has no super powers, he inspires more vigilantes and a group of villians who want to kill him. He joins up with a group of other costumed heros and one bad ass, sword wielding 11 year-old girl who is exrtremly violent so look for it in theaters in mid summer next year here is the comic con footage below

FIRST OFFICAL AVATAR STILL

The great people at got there hands on a beautiful image of Sam Worthington in James Cameron's epic movie Avatar. Well it's only ecpic to movie geeks like me.

This is an image of Worthington's character a marine on an alien planet. That thing in the giant blue ish tank is his Avatar that allows him to move around on the alien planet. You got a good look at half of his face on a poster that I posted earlier check it out. I'm kinda geeked for this movie.

INSANE TRAILER FOR LEGION

Ok this movies looks all kinds of insane but it mitght ne pretty damn good. The trailer starts off with an angel who has come to earth to protect mankind from... God himself. Apparently he has gotten sick of us and has sent his angels to kill us. It's pretty rowdy and well it could be pretty good.

Ok I can't wait to see this movies and Mila Kunis is beautiful I would do dirty things to her. She is in Mike Judge's new flick called Extract, Judge is best known for making the awesome movie Office Space. This movie is about a packing plant and it bungling manger played by Jason Bateman and it has a scruffy looking Ben Aflack in a return to something funny. This should be a good one and I will grab another trailer and throw it up here later this week, but here is a pic for ya for now I love you Mila lets have beautiful Greek and black babies.

SODA FOUNTAIN OF THE FUTURE

Well I just found something that I want in my house if I can afford it. Coca Cola is introducing the soda fountain of the future pretty soon. It will let you make combinations of any soda you want, not just six different choices but combos that you tried to make as kids that really didn't come out to right. You could have a diet cherry sprite if you wanted to the machine comes with all the flavors all you have to do is pick a button.

Like I said earlier I really want this fountain the convenience is just awesome and if you have a party you can charge your friends for cups. I'm just playing I wouldn't do that to you guys... or would I?

ELI GETTING PAID

Eli Manning is now the richest player in NFL history. According to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports Eli has signed a six year $95 million dollar deal. I bet that trophy wife is extremely happy by the way. He has about $35 million in guaranteed money and the average over the six years will be about $16 mill a year.

Now whether he deserves it or not is debatable because he isn't even the best quarterback in his division (that belongs to Donovan F. McNabb) but you can't fault New York for signing there guy. If you got a franchise QB make sure they are happy, he will never see all that money but hey what would it be like to just have that offer in front of you? I don't know bout you but I would pass out and possibly mess myself.

It looks like robot chicken and with the stars in it yould think it was better but it looks cool and some of the one liners are funny. It will most likely be a hit with kids and something to go see when you are stoned so go check it out the trailer is below

SAY IT AINT SO PAPI

Well another player popped for testing positive from that so called anonymous test back in 2003 that the MLB conducted on performance enhancing drugs. According to the New York Times David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez were both on this list, according to sources that have seen the list. When confronted by this Ortiz was "shocked" by the news that he had tested positive and said he would get down to the bottom of this. Ortiz then went out and went 2 for 3 with a home run that sealed the game. After the game when asked about the allegations Ortiz referenced the statement that he put out earlier in the day.

I don't know about you, but this is no surprise. I really can't blame him, because at the time of the testing non of these substances were not illegal in baseball so you can't say it was cheating. With the way these facts are coming out you gotta think that everybody was doing it so it's a level playing field in that way. The only reason it's a problem in baseball is because it is such a numbers driven sport and it's the only sport that let's you into the Hall of Fame without consideration of the championships you've won. Well it's another one who was caught who cares no one did when everybody was hitting homers and putting butts in the seats. So hate on these guys all you want but if you had the choice to take something that gave you the potential to make more money at work you would.

During my trip to Carlsbad found a new hip hop podcast for all of you underground backpackers check it out it's pretty dope. It's called Classic Example find it on iTunes I'm not a big backpacker, but this show reminds me why I feel in love with hip hop in the first place and I'm really starting to turn on southern rap.

COMIC CON: CAMERON GIVES US MORE AVATAR SCOOP

James Cameron has finally showed up at Comic Con and he is living. The reclusive director of one of the best selling movies ever in Titanic has debuted some of the first images from the movie. Now I don't know much about Avatar but from many websites they are saying that this will be the moive to define the way movies are made from here on out. These are big expectations, but Cameron's used to them and he pulled it off with the epic Titanic (which I didn't like) so it might be pretty good here's a pic of the aliens that are going to be in the movie. They are called Na'avi, I will be updating later on the synopsis sice I haven't read the whole thing yet more later.

COMIC- CON: NINJA ASSASSIN

The Wachowski brothers are at it again. The makers of the Matrix Triology (the last two moives were kind of terrible) have got themselves something pretty cool. The movies is called NINJA ASSASSIN I've got the trailer right here and I think it's going to be cool. Now the main plot deatails are this young orphan boy is taken in by an elite organization of assassins. Young boy becomes a man he is now the best and his organiztion turns on him making him the target now man has to kick ass to be free. Seems basic and kick ass check out the trailer here.

VICK TO BE REINSTATED

Well ESPN is reporting that Michael Vick will be reinstated later this week which means Friday. Vick has been meeting with the head of the PLlayers Union and they have been prepping him for the meeting with Roger Goodell. If all goes well, which all indications are saying they will, he will be conditionally reinstated. For those who don't speak commish that means he will let Vick back in but, it's up to the owners to sign him. Now no team has expressed intrest yet, but my little nonmeaningful opinion is that the only team that have the owner with the balls or a stable enough locker room to handle it are the Raiders, Redskins, Pats and maybe the 49ers so if that's one of your teams get ready to welcome the circus to town. Vote on my poll to the right I can tell what the response is going to be if there is one.

This is cool for those of you who love it but, the downer is that you have to subscribe to the pay service that MLB.com already has where you can watch the games online. For those of you who are fans of shit teams like me (fucking Diamondbacks) it's a waste but for those of you who have good teams go for it

Iorn Man 2 it's a wrap

A big annoucement from Comic-Con is that the movie WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE based on the wildly popular novel from my youth will be in stunning IMAX. It's going to be directed by Spike Jonez who is good but it will be a trip I'm counting on it. Hell when I was little the book creeped me out good luck little ones who go see this one.

Comic-Con has begun

Comic-Con 2009 has begun and I will have updates here. If you don't know what this is your not a geek so be proud. For those of you who want to know it's a gathering of geeks and beautiful women dressed like cartoon super chicks which is very hot by the way. Here they debut new comic books some video games and more importantly new movie updates that are geared more towards the sci-fi crowd and super hero stuff so stay tuned for more news from there here.

My super cleb crush is getting a small role in a big time movie. Best known to geeks and gamers Olivia Munn is a late add to the cast of Iorn Man 2. The Geek Goddess has a few scenes with Robert Downey Jr. and hopefully steals the show. I'm a basketball fan and for those who know me the Sixers are my squad and for the first time in a long time they are not picking in the lottery. Unlike those Phoenix Suns who are up in the lottery. Now dependig on what the Suns do it could be a good one for them. Then agian if history repeats itself they will find some way to fuck it up by trading the pick for an over the hill player or drafting some euro player.

Tranformers 2 getting critical bashing

It's seem that Transformers two is getting a bashing in the reviews, and not just because most people hate Micheal Bay. 16 year old Skips High School for MLB Draft

Baseball phenom Bryce Harper who is 16 by the way is going to skip his last two years of high school to turn pro. If you have read the Sports Ilustrated article you know that he is damn good, 567ft home runs and a think a 97 mph fast ball batting .600 in his last year of high school baseball.

Now he is being touted as the "Choosen One" for the sport of baseball like LeBron was for the NBA. Now, baseball if the toughest sport to transition from young kid to man in the mental aspect of sports. In my opinion this is a huge mistake and it's not a matter of if but when this will fail. It's not Bryce's fault either you can blame his dad for this one. I'm all for making as much money as you can, but skipping the final two years of high school to do it is insane. Those carrer minor leaugers are going to chew him up and get in his head and there is nothing mommy and daddy can do about it. When this does fail, and you can determine failure as getting 20 million up front failure, we need to have the dad stand up and just say he fucked up and wanted to live through his son. We also need to blame SI for the article and putting it in his head and sucking his dick so much. But, hey who am I to day anything I'm working nights for peanuts comapred to what he will make so go head kid make your money.
